Writing a memoir in essays is quite an undertaking. I have tons of respect for authors who take on this feat.
Cuban American author Kristen Millares Young does an excellent job with this narrative structure while revealing and concealing the abuse she suffered as an adolescent from an adult caretaker.
Her story isn’t one that dwells in the circumstances of the past. Instead, the author invites us on a journey as she searches for healing and wholeness in the divine feminine.
